An Ode To The Coast
This Project has come from my own love for the South Coast of the UK and a want to work more slowly with my camera. I wanted to get rid of the need for any post processing that I would usually use to make images for a commercial use or publication, meaning every image has come straight from the camera with no Photoshop or other kind of editing.
With that in mind, Ode To The Coast has all been shot on a mirrorless camera, with a single manual focus lens from the 1970s and every image has come straight from the camera with no Photoshop or other kind of editing. I wanted to create the project this way as it meant I had to spend longer taking in the details of what I was looking at, and I feel it gives the series a more poetic feel that I wanted to get across in the photographs.
I find that I spend a lot of time on the beach and exploring the coast, and I think its the details that are often the most interesting and beautiful. The are thousands of nice photographs taken on beaches, and while I enjoy looking at them, I feel as though there is always something missing. I suppose these photos are my way of trying to find whats missing from those usual images. I hope you like them, and would love to hear what you think of them if you want to get in touch - tedlambphoto@gmail.com
